PRESIDENT'S CORNER
On May 26, 2011. Phil Barck submitted his resignation as NMAER President
In his letter he said that "it is with regret that I must resign my position as President of the New Mexico Association of Educational Retirees. I have been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, which will not allow me to serve in this capacity. I had very much looked forward to working with you all in the year ahead, so it is very difficult to write this letter."
According to the NMAER Constitution, the first Vice President Tomas Salazar asumes the duties of the President effective immediately. We will have more information on Tomas Salazar in the next few weeks.
Phil Barck is currently receiving treatment at the Espanola Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, 720 Hacienda, Espanola, NM 87532. Cards can also be sent to P.O. Box 1419, Espanola, NM 87532
