Purpose: The Membership Committee shall
encourage and promote membership in the Association and in local units
for all retired educational employees and their spouses.
Goals & Responsibilities: Emphasis
shall be on acquiring new members, retaining current members, and having
monthly dues deducted from retirement checks. Will coordinate with other
committees in order to increase membership through joint efforts.
Should maintain a close relationship with the Pre-Retirement Committee.
Committee Profile: The
President shall appoint a chairperson. The committee should be
comprised of 5-10 representatives from all geographic areas of the
state. Committee members will serve three (3) years terms.
Committee members are eligible for reappointment upon completion of their
terms.
Recommended Calendar: Committee
will meet at least once a year.
