Purpose: To
identify issues of importance to members and potential members around the
many issues of health advocacy, and to advocate for personal practice and
governmental policies that advance the interests of NMAER members.
Goals & Responsibilities:
Committee members will develop and implement a
Health Care Activities plan. Establish working contacts with
persons, organizations, and agencies who have helpful information and
expertise. Will become knowledgeable about, and become a good advocate for
health legislation and enforcement. Provide health related materials
and/or speak to units upon invitation.
Committee Profile: Chairperson
is appointed by the President. Committee members will serve three
(3) year terms. Should be comprised of 5-10 representatives from all
geographic areas of the state. Committee members are eligible for reappointment
upon completion of their terms.
Recommended Calendar:
Committee will meet at least once a year.
